We recently acquired a limited supply of this gorgeously rich and weighty coffee that hails from the exotic Indo island of Timor. It’s syrupy body and low acidity are definitely something fans of other Indonesian beans like Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi will appreciate- but the Timor Maubesse has its own identity. It’s remarkably cleaner than most Indonesian coffees, and replaces the pronounced “funk” that is usually inherent to beans from this corner of the world with mild, tropical high notes.

Though clean and mildly fruity, Timor Maubesse’s star players are still classically Indonesian - a velvety smooth and heavy body accompanied by soft, woody notes of cedar and oak with a sweet, aromatic finish of wet pipe tobacco.
